Well, have not done much lately really. We had two birthday parties this month. Melinda’s foster son Jessey was 7 and my youngest daughter was 27. I always enjoy it when we all get together, it seems now that is mostly on birthdays since they all have stuff to do and lives to follow. We will have another soon, granddaughter Mila will be 9 and Austin’s girlfriend will be 17.
The first girl that broke my heart contacted me through Facebook this past few days and it was interesting to talk to her and reminded me of thing from years ago like making love in my Karmen Ghia Volkswagon at the drive in,lol. I don’t think I could manage that now in a car that small. Too bad she is married cause it would have even been more interesting had she been single. I am not dating anyone at this time and I really don’t look as hard as I used to, ya get tired of going through the meeting up and selling yourself and of course being expected to pay for everything no matter whose idea it was to go out, what happened to equal rights? I do hope to find love one more time so I will have someone to share my travels and fun with. I would hope the next woman in my life will also like roller coasters and other fun things.
I am really tired of seeing Obama’s picture on TV and the internet news. I don’t think any president ever got this much coverage. We don’t need more government agencies and control. For the health care we just need to do like Switzerland does and require everyone to purchase health insurance and help the poor folks out that cannot really afford it. Health care coverage will only really work if everyone has it so the healthy pay for the sick, this is the only way for it to pay for itself without deficits. Really simple to me.
If the sun comes back I may take next week off, I have to take another week or so off this year or lose it. I have never built up vacation time like this before. I think I have over 250 hours on the books and another 470 hours of sick time built up. I used to take every minute I had. They let carry over 2 years worth of vacation over to the next year and the sick time can just keep adding up.
I had the TV repairman over Monday to fix my 46 inch LCD panel TV again. This is the second time they replaced the panel, as soon as he left last time there were pencil like lines in it. The video panel is an 800 dollar part so having 2 of them installed under warranty is more money than the TV cost,lol. Thank goodness for warranties. I even bought the extended one this time. The picture is great now.
Its funny but I hear more from Melinda now than my other girls, she used to be the one I never heard from and Jennifer was the one I heard from all the time. Now that Jennifer has a man she does not contact me as much. Natalie has always been busy and if I don’t hear from here in a week or so I call and leave a message asking her if she is still alive and she always calls me back. One time she called me not long ago while she was at a festival and Merle Haggard was singing in the background, how cool is that?
Well, I guess that’s all for today cause I am drawing a blank now.
